A young man who played infield for me for 4 fantastic years (our all-time hits leader) is a finalist for the Harlon Hill Award. that's the D2 Heisman. He is Nick Hardesty from Henderson State Arkansas. He chose football because "they just don't offer diddly for money in baseball do they coach?"

I enjoyed every minute I ever worked with him and I'm really hoping he gets the award.

That is awesome. That young man is line to win the same award that Danny Woodhead (NFL New England Patriots phenom) won two years ago from Chadron State. That is quite an honor, Coach.

Trivia question...who was the first NFL start to come out of Chadron State?

Hint: He also set the record for most Super Bowls played in at 6.

TS,
Good stuff...you should be very proud and happy!

Coach it ain't bragging if it's true. Congrats to your guy and hope he wins it. Still feels pretty good when guys you coach have success in other sports.
