It's not baseball weather but it is FOOTBALL weather!

Believe it or not, Highland Park comes to East Texas Saturday to play in 12,000 capacity Tyler Rose Stadium for the 4A Division I State Championship against Marshall.

And 30 miles down the road Southlake Carroll plays Lufkin in Nacogdoches in the 5A Div II Semi-finals.

I don't know how East Texas got so lucky. Bring on the snow and ice!

I-30 between Dallas & Ft. Worth overpasses are icy & several accidents coming out of downtown Ft. Worth.

I'm in Carrollton & we have intermittant sleeting.
Plano is still clear, from what my daughter said at work.
I'm sure the 1-35 bridge over Lake Lewisville is starting to ice up.

We're expecting 18 degrees tonight. Burrrr! Got ot get that fireplace going!!

Anyone remember the ice storm in Jan 79?? I was out for New Years & got stuck at a friends house, where the elec went out...Then was supposed to be moving to Houston for a new job...I was a little late for work!! Eek

'79..........nope was in sunny AZ at the time and never stuck because of ice/sleet but did get stuck in a frat house during H-ll week and missed a final exam. Eek The things I heard,,,,,,,,,if my boys ever rush a frat I will be well prepared for any stories they may have.

Sleet here and some snow on the roof tops, hoping that school is cxl'd for tomorrow too late for early dismissal today,,,,,,,,,DARN

I was "tutoring" when all of a sudden............H-ll Week started at the Sig Ep House (I was a lil sis)and the guy I was tutoring didn't know this was going to be "the night it started" he was a senior and a bit out of the loop, needless to say,,,,,,,,,,I felt like countraband and had to hid out till they took the pledges off to an offsite location (the desert)........it was a long/loud/interesting 12hrs, nothing like I had ever experienced w/my sorority's initiation week (we couldn't call it H-ll Week). Chalk it up to "college experience 101" and now looking back at it I would much rather be iced/snowed in with hot chocolate/fire/popcorn.

Those were the days of Animal House and Toga, Toga, Toga..............
