This is sad and laughable at the same time.

Why don't they give him some money from the football scholarship pool of 85 players? Half of the football players are "hamburgers" any way.

Must be some Presidential Scholarship money available somewhere from those university "slush funds" you always hear about.

How about a football booster lending the kid some money...do it right with Notes and everything.
While it's a shame the kid can't finish his eligiblity I doff my hat to a 4 year grad who has his priorities in line. Before I have to grab another box of kleenex, I think the Tiger cage is pretty deep and they will do just fine without a guy who snuck in as an unexpected replacement and contributed late in the year.

I wonder if it was a media contention that he was that high on the projected '07 staff, and the coaching staff felt he was not that high on the food chain and that's why things were not addressed last Spring. Where was he for the previous 3.5 years?

Congrats to Sean Clark, the Tiger grad.

Because I am close to the situation, I will tell you the article does not include all of the details. I can tell you that he had not picked up a baseball since last june and he had a lot of preparation to even get ready as a reliever. JMO. No one ever said he would get a guaranteed start.

Sean was a transfer from JUCO that came to Clemson with shoulder issues. It took him quite a while to get it all together. Sean was not a power pitcher, and because of his slower speed and great coaching from Coach O'Sullivan he was able to produce results for the Tigers when pitching staff grew tired. Tiger fans will always be grateful for his contributions and Sean will always have great memories of his ACC win and trip to Omaha.

Sean is a great kid, is very realistic about his future in baseball and I think he has chosen the right path. He is already making lots of $$$$ and very happy with his career choice and I think by the end of this year may hit the 100K mark.
