Do they have time to come out and see 2025’s in high school though? Or do they commit them off video alone? I have been going on the assumption my 2025 will need to be seen in person several times to get offers, but video might get coaches to come out.

Probably not committing without seeing in person, but you have to get on their radar first. As far as coming out to see games between now and the end of the season, a lot depends on location and circumstances.

Whether you get offers now or not, I would not commit yet.  Too many things can change.  Even the new rules on roster numbers.  Stay the course.  Believe it or not, having offers makes it more stressful for some kids.  Encourage him to keep working, get stronger, stay focused...get him to some good events, let the offers take care of themselves.

You can send whatever you want - this isn't really an active time for recruiting. The odds they see the video, pick up a phone, and ask him to come to campus is almost non existent.

They are worried about their own season. If it is convenient to them they may stop by a high school game - but they are mostly focused on their season and maybe keeping tabs on some of their senior commits.

Odds are if they have any interest he will be seen this summer. I wouldn't even be thinking of commitments based off video right now.

After post soph summer the programs of most interest to my son were on the fence. While very athletic he was only 6’ 160. I warned him he was a B lister to them.

He stopped playing basketball. He focused on getting stronger and quicker. He was only 6’1” 170 junior year. But, he was significantly stronger and quicker. After hitting four homers in four games and starting the season 14-16 in a strong conference his travel coach updated the schools. We sent video.

The response was we’ll see you at (PG) East Cobb and talk. Of course, talking was contingent on what they saw.

Do kids commit between now and June, or has recruiting basically shut down until summer? 2025 is up close to 90 with good control and very good off speed. Is there any benefit to getting that film and info into a coach’s hands in March?

Your son can send out video. Most programs have plenty of staff on hand that help in the recruiting process. They also spend a lot of time traveling on busses and planes this time of year.

I suggest that it's  addressed to the RC (recruiting coordinator).
