We cannot get a break, the S word is in the National Weather Service Forecast 5 out of the next 7 days.
Our guys have their first scrimmage this Wednesday and have not been able to get on the infield yet due to it being too wet.

I know i help out with Indian River J.V. and am suppose to have our scrimmage tomm.But maybe wed. will help ya because it looks good for wednesday.thats he only till friday it looks good.
Now CV.. When have you ever seen HS baseball in VA begin without two weeks of snow or rain??
We caught a break down in Lynchburg, got outside for the first time in 10 days, but, best of all, was able to get our tarp on the field after practice. We should be OK for our first scrimmage (Heritage) on Thurday.
JT, What HS does yor son attend. I graduated from Amherst in 71 and now reside in northern va. I have a brother whose son is a freshman at Jefferson Forest.

My 06 is a Jr (3B/SS/P/C) at Heritage. We play JF March 25th to open Seminole play. Great rivalry on par with Carolina-Duke in intensity (at least with the parents).

i am looking for some weather forecast for the radford area wednesday, and farmville area thursday ? any help is much appreciated !
Farmville on Thurs: Partly sunny. Highs around 50. Light and variable winds...Becoming southwest around 10 mph in the afternoon.
Radford on Weds: Partly cloudy and cold with highs in the mid 30s. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph. Lowest wind chill values as low as 5 above in the morning.

Pretty typical this time of year. The Liberty/JMU game today was cancelled, too. Second postponement.
Again those of us in our part of the state are getting hosed. SNOW in the forecast WEDS-FRI. Scrimmages done 
Shenandoah Valley is sounding better-a little slush Thursday night but otherwise should be able to play opener Friday night, although it will give new meaning to "thawing out the first ball".
The Pioneers at least got the tarp on the field here in Lynchburg. If we get only a wee bit of snow, Thursday looks almost do-able vs the Raiders of Appomattox.
