Not looking good for the moose, right now. Cal jumped on them for 5 in the first. Bullwinkle, Jr batting in the 3-hole and DH.

I saw SonofMoc in his TENNESSEE uni tonight!

Charleston southern and Florida state were tied at 2 each until FSU jumped out to a 6-2 lead in the 5th. Lightning halted the game after 6th to resume at 1:00 togay.
There seemed to be some early nerves on bothj teams. Turning point was a late Balk call on an inning ending double play against CSU. Pitchers struggled with the strike zone in the early going. Looking forward to see if CSU can dig their way out of the hole. Theyseemed to have some good bats this year.

Looks like Bullwinkle, Jr is having a great first series! 2-2 so far today's rubber game of the series.

URKMB heaves a big sigh as once again she dons the dreaded UC Irvine anteater avatar for yet another year. She finds it more difficult than last year to get the avatar on. The color seems to have faded, and there seems to be a big tear in the backside that is quite drafty. One thing that hasn't changed, however, is the smell. Clearly, basic hygiene is still not a priority for the owner.

She wipes away a tear and shudders silently as she wonders why she feels the need to write in the third person all of a sudden. Un-answered questions fill the air. Could Bullwinkle have left some of his persona behind as well? How can a moose have a son that hits for three games like he was in batting practice (URKMB thinks he hit at least .500 for the series and seemed to be up to bat every third or fourth batter).
Where WAS the Bullwinkle this weekend, and why did he choose to remain incognito? What does 'zot' mean, and why does one feel like saying it all of a sudden?
One can only hope that this week will pass quickly and with minimal pain.

Heavy sigh! I was a PAC-10 supporter for this weekend, hoping my neighbors might rough-up our Big West competition a bit.
Just a temporary setback for the Blue & Gold I'm sure!

Thanks....but as a small reminder...every win we get in the Big West helps our (BW) RPI...Very important to get into the NCAA's!
