Three VA Teams in D3 Regionals

JT - Good luck to all 3. It'll be a great tourney and I'm looking forward to it!

Do you have knowledge of a bracket or website w/info? My son plays at CNU and told me yesterday that the coach wouldn't have any info until this evening.

CNU plays Johns-Hopkins the second game on Wednesday. Each teams plays 1 game on Wednesday and one on Thursday, unless weather causes changes. CNU is staying at the Inn Keeper I think. On Monday, Salisbury plays RMC, CNU plays JHU, and Lynchburg plays Piedmont. Should be some great baseball!

Good luck to your son and RMC (we know quite a few guys there) and to JT and his son at Lynchburg. We all would like to see our schools win it of course, but let's hope one of the Virginia schools is on its way to the World Series this time next week. The CNU guys that went to the Series a few years ago describe it as an awesome experience-big crowds, players treated like rock stars, players' parents even treated like rock stars, royal treatment throughout! First class plus.

Randolph-Macon lost to Salisbury today 7-4 in the first game of the regional. The box score shows that the Yellow Jackets had 15 hits, 5 walks, and two HBP, but stranded 17 runners in scoring only 4 runs. Freshman Byron Mendenhall took his first loss of the season, allowing six earned runs in 5 1/3 innings.

Randolph-Macon will now face the loser of Johns Hopkins and Christopher Newport tomorrow at 11.

R-MC gets Hopkins, as CNU battled back from a 5-0 hole for an 8-5 10 inning win.

LC makes it an all-commonwealth match-up on Thurs as the Hornets won its 31st game of the season with a 9-1 win over Piedmont.

R-MC bowed out today losing to Johns Hopkins. Still a great run by the Jackets and all starters return next year! It was great seeing all the other HSBW folks. Best of luck to the remaining Virginia schools!
