I'm curious how many high school coaches allow or require thier players to throw BP to each other in the cages using an L Screen.

I would prefer to change the wording to "I expect them to do it as long as they wear a helmet."

We have players throw short front flips from behind a screen but not regular BP. Practice time is too precious. Three of our coaches threw at various levels beyond HS and the other a college position player. They can throw a far more effective BP, sometimes in the cage and sometimes on field.
Of course, occasionally, we will scrimmage with our pitchers throwing live on field and no screen.
Yes, the players wear helmets in the cage when throwing front flips in case of misdirected balls. Those same coaches aren't as smart in this regard.
