They are maketing a "feel good" message written across the front of a shirt of unknown quality. Much like hawking "T" shirts in front of a baseball stadium. All "sizzle and no steak" or "all hat and no cows" in my opinion. Nothing more than emotional marketing. Personally I wear very little of the "billboard" type of clothing. Honesty and integrity should be associated with the name and the face of an individual and not associated with his/her $14.95 "T" shirt. Read their website mumbo jumbo: We will always strive to deliver a quality product that will signify the same commitment to excellance as ballplayers have made to the game itself. Confused Confused

I"ll pass!

Well,...very troof-fully, I agree actions speak louder than words,....but with that said, I also think its a great idea with a positive message.
Walk-the-walk while talking-the-talk.
I'd wear one!

See no probem with emotional marketing. Sometimes it enpowers people. Sometimes it gives us an extra gentle hint to stay on track,..other times it may influence another individual, or make them think twice.

I like the movement that some of our youth is taking to get back the game of baseball.

D-Troof Commitment (Certificate distributed with every purchase)

quote:
I understand that wearing D-Troof brand apparel will not make me faster, throw harder, hit for greater power or improve my batting average. This shirt only represents my personal pledge to never take a single shortcut to achieving my full potential as a baseball player. I will not cheat myself, my team or ever disrespect the game and the players that came before me that were committed to preparing and playing the game the right way.

Is this a marketing strategy? Perhaps, but its a positive message.
Probably generates some conversation too and to me that's a good thing. Smile

Attagirl SSM.
I see no problem at all with this product. How many of our kids wear products made by equipment manufacturers that contain win at all cost type messages? And who paid for it? This is just a shirt, troo, and the message is just words. But words convey something, and in this case it's a positive message.

Yoo cant handle D-TrooF !
