Son is outfielder and has always had a side-arm, pushing type movement and at 16 it's becoming a liability. We long toss often but seem to have hit a wall. Found this video and makes sense to me.

Can you help me find other material that will help?

Although he may not be a pitcher he can probably benefit greatly by learning how to pitch (pitching instructor, camp, or class).  Pitching is the only play in baseball where you get to initiate and control all aspects of the throwing motion and as such is a good base to learn how to throw correctly.  When my son took an interest in baseball (after 5th grade) he couldn't throw at all (he had no interest when younger).  So, I signed him up for pitching camps and he learned how to throw well.  Now he catches, pitches, and plays the corners.

A couple of questions.  Why change his throwing mechanics now?  How is it a liability?  Has he recently been converted to OF or has he been playing that position for a while?  How is his arm strength compared to others in his class?

Personally, I am not a big fan of making drastic changes in a kids arm slot unless he/she

is just, well, really really bad.  In this case, unless he can't throw the ball where he wants to, why change now?  I know a side arm guy is not  typical profile for an OF'er, but unless he is more of a submariner, and he can throw, on target, why change?   Maybe a consideration for a pticher?
