Got my new copy just today in the mail.

--Top 50 Teams in Illinois

--Great article on 5'6" Limestone SS getting scholarship from Illinois

--3 solid articles on 3 different HS players that overcame BIG medical problems. 1 that had 6 different heart surgeries , 1 that overcame testicular cancer and 1 that battled diabetes.

Good stuff this issue.

Well done Sean, another great issue. good This magazine gets better and better. Mary Helen and Jim must be proud. applaude

My predictions, for what it’s worth…. Keep your eyes on Rob Serpico, SS Schaumburg HS, he’s going to move up significantly in the PBR top 100. Don’t let his size fool ya, a real sleeper at 96th. dozey Dave Reynolds IMHO s/b top 25! dirol Pat Luehring, LHP Jacobs HS grossly under rated at 77. pilot

PBR trivia; What does Schatz, Grady, Damrow, Bates, Everhard, Kurash, Krupa, Livermore, Copeland, Barbier, Abraham, Heasley, McAllister, Redmond, Lambert, Johanns, Cumbie, Simotes, Pouncil, Everhart, Birks, Hamdan, Martinez, Noth, and Kaczmarek have in common in this issue????? noidea

Thanks Sean! This should get the juices flowing for the 2006 high school season.

Ditto great magazine. One more that will move up if you have ever seen him play is Jake Smolinski, rockford, one of the best I have seen at his age. JMO More important was the articles concerning the players that over came obstacles eother medical or stereotype. People that overcome issues like this will usually go on to be very successful in their life way beyond baseball. Really enjoyed the articles and I hope many of the high school players take a good look at those in addition to all the rating stuff.

This is your best effort yet. Anybody can argue anyone's ratings but from what I have seen, he has done a heck of a job and is pretty darn accurate.

This is what Illinois baseball needed. It allows us to follow all of the state and all of the conferences. From what I can tell there just does not appear to be any hidden agendas.

Thanks
Could someone please tell me if the Prep Baseball Report is available for purchase on newstands or is it available by subscription only? If available by newstands, which stores carry it and if by subscription only how much is the yearly subscription and how many issues are included. Also how does this compare to the other baseball news letter/paper that I have seen people write about, The Truth. Thank you in advance for any information on this!!
