How about those FM Jaguars!!! Sure, they don't have the Major League talent they have had the last few years, but they are a better team!

Sometimes when you lean too heavily on just one or a few, the rest kind of look around, or wait around for them to do something. That is when you get beat!

Beware of the Dragons though, those kids do not know the meaning of quit!
7 errors??? Wow, that will get you beat most of the time, in the playoffs...everytime!

If SLC cleans the defense up, I would not be surprised if they even the series.

Remember, this is high school baseball. Anything can happen and it usually does!!!

Keep your eye on the Mansfield/Midland series, do not be surprised if Midland beats them. Of course I am pulling for Mansfield because they are from this area, but I know Coach Russell, and he has some talent and will have his team ready!
I got to the SL - FM game in the second inning and I saw most of the errors. In the fifth inning SL had at least 4 E's, each lead to a run.

I have to admit being from Coppell I did not know who I might root for but once I got there and saw the threaded green rooting for FM was easy.

The Jags played well and hit the ball hard and ran the bases well to take advantage of the opportunities presented to them. It didn't realy matter though, the way Millard was throwing the ball, two runs would have held up.

Not real good baseball from the SL group last night. They might have left all they had in the Allen series. We will see tonight.

Good Luck FM.

funneldrill.. you got it right on FM... that's why every coach wants his best nine, not his nine best... look to Brenham for that... a lot of avg. joes... some snmall college guys... no big prospects, but they can get it done.. as a team.

"We play our best nine, not our nine best."

This sign is on the wall in the squad room at LSU's Alex Box Stadium. The more I used to go in there and read it, the more I understood it!

They called up a very special Freshman, Jordon Stafford, little brother of Keller's ace. The one error Keller made opened the flood gates on Lil' Stafford, otherwise he pitched a good game.

Look for great things from Lil' Stafford in the years to come.

It goes back to what I said in an eariler post, Coach Stramp can sometimes do things that make you scratch you head. I've seen Lil' Stafford play since he was 9, so I was 100% behind this decision, in fact, I was second guessing why he didn't start him against Lewisville.
