Western Branch 11 Deep Creek 1. WB broke open a close game with 8 runs in the 5th. Jordan Kidd led the way going 4-4. Matt Batten and Brandon Doggett also had multiple hits. Shane Johnsonbaugh picked up the win, allowing only 4 hits. For DC, David Rice had 2 hits.

Grassfield 8 Hickory 5. Reported that Shelor and Grauer hit back to back home runs. Cox with the win, Hancock with the loss.

Indian River 10 - Great Bridge 1

Dean Ali pitches CG for win (now 5-2) & 1-for-2, 2 RBI (28 - season), 3 BB (2 intentional) at the plate.

Will Heath contributed 2 hits & 2 RBI as well.

Stokes takes loss for GB as he struggled with his command a bit, contributing to a 6-1 lead after 2 for IR.

With the win & the Hickory loss to GF, IR (14-2, 12-2 district) takes sole possession of 1st place in SED.
