Y’all do realize that 5 rounds of MLB draft had some to do with all of this? Although it’s a small part, it did create a ripple down effect. Going from 40 to 5 created chaos IMO. Maybe I’m wrong.

I think it contributed.  I don't know if it was a huge part at most schools.  The guys who were going to forego college for the most part expected to go top 2-3 rounds or not go.  It may have hurt a some juniors.  That said, I think my son's school "may" have lost two that they didn't lose if the draft had been larger.  The 2021 roster was just posted with 45 kids.  There aren't cuts, but 45 kids getting time is going to be hard to come by.  And I've seen these kids and there just aren't any slouches.  Just signed another 19 NLIs for 2021....

It hurt most P5's greatly.  Son's team had 10 plus come back that would have gone in the draft.  If they only do 20 rounds this year, it will still build more of a logjam because many guys graduate after 3 years or are close in today's world. You have guys that are ready to get out after their junior year.  The problem is if they get back this year and draft is limited you will have third year freshmen and no room at the inn for the incoming freshmen or transfers.  I know you guys that have 2021 and 2022's don't understand and I fully understand not thinking it is fair but for a coach he can use a spot for a 2020 freshman who he has had for 2 or 3 years and who has been in the weight room and on the field or he can take an incoming freshman.  Most will take the 3rd year guy.
