What year in high school should you be going to college showcases for a serious look.Also what year should you start contacting them.

I believe that the general consensus in the past has been once you have made Varsity. I understand that recruiting is happening earlier and earlier each year, however I believe this really only occurs around a small group of truly elite players. These players are being seen on the tournament circuit, and may receive invites to college camps.
We did do some FSU camps at a young age, but back then it was viewed by us as purely instructional, and it probably was.
