I really like KeepPlayingBaseball, but I found their timeline pretty confusing.  They at least try to break a timeline into players of different talent levels:  if you are a top D1 recruit, it will look like this, if you are a D3 recruit it will look like that.  What they don't tell you is, what a D1 recruit looks like freshman year, what a D3 recruit looks like junior year, etc.

I remember someone sharing a spreadsheet here in 2019...or maybe early 2020? Pretty sure it was 2019 because I can picture myself sitting at work modifying it for my son and I was working from home for most of 2020.

Anyway, I thought it was an excellent spreadsheet and I remember sharing it with my wife and saying these are the steps and milestones...

But, along with @RJM - none of it mattered. Or, maybe some of helped but it wasn't major.

Best bet on getting recruited is being referred by a trusted source and then having the coach see something in you that really connects for him.
