The watch list for the Tino Martinez Award, given to the best player in the country in D2 baseball, was just released.
Haven't perused the whole list yet, so I don't know how many HSBaseballWeb members have loved ones on it. But there's one real fast young man from Delta State on it.

Thank you so very much, I hadn't seen that list and I am thrilled that Jordan would even be mentioned for an award like this. I just got back from Mississippi and am already planning to head back this weekend for a big matchup with Nova Southeastern. I bet there are other members sons on there as well because this year we seem to have a lot of talented DII players with parents on this site.

Thanks floridafan! Delta State has a lot of talented guys this year and the other two guys from Delta State on the Watch list have happened to be his roommates for the last three years. What are the odds of that?

Three Bagger- Not bad! 
Two players on the list are former Strasburg Express players (hokieone's summer team). One an outfielder from LeMoyne and the other a LHP from Seton Hill. Alex Haines, the LHP, is a pretty high draft prospect.
And, to keep in line with the trend here on the HSBBWeb...Coach Merc's son is on the list as well.
The Pitcher of the Year award that was listed was given to a player at Coach Merc's son's school. That pitcher is now in the Major Leagues. Big things coming out of DII...and more specifically, this fine website.

There will be six of those guys on the field this weekend at our games versus Nova Southeastern. I recognize many of the guys from teams that we ran into last year on the way to the DII College World Series and at the Series itself.
