After multiple delays, one lasting just about an hour for lightning, Cape Henry Colegiate defeated Norfolk Academy 10-0 in six innings. Pete Levitt threw a no hitter, striking out 14. 3 Bulldogs made it to first, on a hit batsman, a walk, and a throwing error. Leviit threw no breaking pitches Thursday night, as his 86-89 mph fastball was just too much for NA all night. The staff's ace and all TCIS first team member Robert Morey will face the Greenbreir Christian Gators tonight at Greenbrier @ 7:00 p.m.

If you want to challenge the facts, Redbird, then have at it. The facts are, he did strike out 14, it was a no hitter, he was pitching at those speeds, ( find someone who was actually there if you choose not to take my word for it ) he is a Junior, and he was not on any all-TCIS team. Nothing weird about it. He does already have large, DI schools interested in him, and played on the Chicago Whitesox fall showcase team with Mike Henderson from Catholic, Andre Nichols from Greenbrier, and the two boys from NSA who made the TCIS team.
Robert Morey, the loser in the Tcis fianls against GCA threw a fine game Friday night. Both he and Bulman were throwing in the high 80's and both touched 90-91 on more than a few occasions. Bulman's slider was nasty and had the Cape Henry hitters off balance all night. Hat's off to GCA for a fine game and season. Oh, there were 3 stakers at that game.
Really BBCOACH? Maybe 50%-70% of the posts on this board contain info that can or should be found in those two papers. Care to tell all those people how obvious they are about "hawking" thier players? It seemed to me that this was a forum where anyone could ask questions, or share information they think is important or interesting about local high school baseball.Tell you what. You read the paper and the rest of us will read what interests us on this web site.
You can't ask for "legitimate evidence" on a web forum. The nature of this kind of forum is that the overwhelming majority of the people who participate seek to a remain anonymous, and do. That is why we all use screen names.I did not see any personal info in your profile, and rightfully so. Much of the information on this board is "hear-say". That is the nature of the board, and in general the nature of the internet.I suppose if someone makes what appears to be an outrageous claim, or one that on the face of it seems too unbelieveable to be true, it seems fair to challenge it, if just for the sake of discussion. But to challenge that a high school pitcher was really throwing 89 MPH? Is that so unbelievable? There have been scouts with radar guns at many high school games this spring, and they are more than happy to share the numbers with interested parents and fans. There have been scouts at a handfull of Cape Henry games as well. Cape Henry has two legitimate hard throwing right handers who are either just at 90, or above. So do other high schools. My interest is in the TCIS, and Cape Henry Colegiate, so I follow them.
3up3down, yawwwnn...yup. I've been on here a lot lately. Roll Eyes I've made maybe 10 posts in the last 3 months? What should I be looking for in what the OP said?

Hey, doc...glad to see you are still around to make threats. Oh wait...I guess that will come via email?

As for the original post...all I am saying is that someone who throws 86-89 WILL make All_TCIS. Let's face it, the TCIS is pretty weak other than 1-2 teams. To throw as hard as(if not harder than) most of the guys who will throw in the CWS, earns you a spot on the All-TCIS. I was asking about the legitimacy of this "Daddy gunned" 86-89. So far, no one has backed it up. I saw a couple of websters at GCA that night and none of them have backed up the story. To date, we have 2 guys who just want to attack me for asking the question. Seriously though...who the heck goes to games with a Stalker unless you are a scout or college coach?!?

redbird, why do you care who goes to a game with a stalker or not? I certainly didn't read any threats. are you still doubting what Ramirez throws. The way the TCIS does there selection for all conference is ridiculous anyway they don't have a meeting to discuss each player they mail or call in there selections and that's it. This is different than the way every other conference or district does there selections.
Ouch. That hurt. You really put me in my place.
By the way, I did not say that most postings on this board were not true, I said that by the nature of the board, they are hearsay and as such hard to prove. Even if I were to claim to have taken a reading myself, how could I prove it on this board? I guess since I did not make your list of sound advice and wisdom givers, it does not matter what I say. But we are having a discussion, and that is the point of this place, at least as I see it. I have not tried to put anyone down, nor have I called anyone a liar, or intimated that they were. Just talking about high school baseball and what is important to me. If it is not important to you, okay! Read someone elses posts.
Easy, i can back up Levitt he throws hard. As to how hard exactly im not sure but i've seen him and the kid can bring it. Yes, he should have been ALL TCIS but as DOC put it the selection for ALL TCIS is not normal. If i recall we had this same argument two years ago. Should Levitt be all TCIS, yes, can he throw towards the upper 80's i believe so, however his curve ball is a weakness. His controll is not to great.
So many of these boys that we speak about on this board have their hopes and dreams for many years wraped up in this game. It is so easy to forget that an offhand comment, well intentioned or not can do tremendous damage, either real or imagined! And then there are the parents, who may be more unrealistic than their kids.
I meant to offense to anyone either, BBCOACH, and no offense was taken. We do have a responsability, in my opinion, to be honest. And candid when appropriate, or when asked. But honesty does not mean you must cross the street to tell a starnger they are homely. We must remember that words are like arrows, and once loosed, not easily regained.
