Just watching the Yankee game and there was an interesting play with Jorge Posada losing his glove. Anyone see the Posada/Figgins tangle up? Should CB Buckner have called interference on Figgins since he was out of the batter's box?
It didn't look like CB Bucknor had any interest in calling anything even if he dropped it though. It would've been intresting to see what would have happened if he did.

Because MLB supervisors continue to rate him as one of the best 64 umpires in professional baseball.
Releasing, or firmly suggesting to a MLB umpire that he should retire has been done before to umpires who have performed poorly. So the mechanics and history are there to take corrective action when MLB decides it deserved.
