My son has an opportunity to play on a collegiate summer league team which is asking about $1200. This does not include any housing, food, gas, hotel, transportation.....just whatever else needs to be paid for.

I've only asked a couple of friends what their sons have paid, or will pay, and from that limited sample, this fee seems very high. But maybe a broader sampling will show me that this fee is in the ballpark?

Yes? No?

It is a tough deal...If you want an opportunity for your son to play, and there are no slots open in the traditional Collegiate Summer Leagues. My son played in the Coastal Plains League where there were no fees. He had a wonderful Host family. We had to supply him with money for some meals, but other than that and his personal gas to get him to his home field, everything else was paid for.
