Don't know who posted this but there are teams on the west side of the state!? I hear they are pretty good to... Don't live in a bubble!

I think he meant to post that with a Tidewater reference.
Having said that...the editor of the Pilot must be living in his own little mini-bubble. I am familiar with a few SED JV teams that beat one of the ranked teams above!
And no Granby?
sorry i should have put tidewater top 10.
Total number in Tidewater?

If your asking for the total number of high schools...I believe that there are 56 public schools in the coverage area (Peninsula/Williamsburg included), and another 25-30 or so, private schools. The Va-Pilot only ranks teams on the Southside though. That number would total around 50ish, public and private.

So this is the VA-Pilot's top 10, correct?
This preseason list is as good as any based on its results.
I'm always up for a very large pre-season chuckle. Everyone is undefeated, the virgin green grass has just been mowed, harps are playing in the background, and the swallows are returning to Capistrano. It is great for everyone until the first game ends.

That is correct.
The Pilot does this for every sport just for the Southside of Tidewater so it is Suffolk, Portsmouth, Norfolk, Chesapeake and Virginia Beach. I think that comprises 40ish schools. Most are 6A and 5A though.
all southeastern district games are cancelled till tommorrow except Kings Fork vs.Hickory play Thursday.
