Top High school teams in TN

Did John Overton of Nashville not defeat Mt.Juliet at the Sportsbelle Tournament this past weekend? I do know that John Overton made it to the championship game and lost to Farragut after playing 3 games in a row.

Overton defeated Mt. Juliet 8-2 in the semi-finals. They are playing very well.

Did I hear that MBA beat Houston @ USA Classic with a Freshman pitching ?

Is this the Houston that Tate High of Pensacola, Fl beat 14-0 in the opening round of the USA Classic?

Someone read in the Memphis Commercial Appeal that Houston starter Tyler Watson left the game in the 4th due to soreness in his arm with the score 0-0. The rest of the game was pitched by a kid named Seth McFarlin, who made the school team for the first time this year. Tate put up all their runs in the last 2 innings.

Henry County is 11-3 this year and 4-0 in district play. Unless the wheels fall off the wagon we will have a date with Mt. Juliet later on this year.

Thanks "HV"...I assumed something odd must have happened to have such a spread on the score. Yet Houston must have brought in a quality pitcher in such a tight game since those types of tourneys are "one loss and done" as far as medal, right? That must have come under the next in line not quite prepared.

It's the best place I know where you can go and compare records, etc. Especially since our local newspaper would rather cover s****r this spring than baseball with its extended PrepExtra coverage.
