The most important opening weekend game for me is the one my son's team is playing down at Texas Trinity (in 13 days).  I am very excited to see how his team does.  All the top pitching graduated.  His team should be a very good hitting team and there is at least one super pitcher (IMO from summer outings) and a few more who should do great. They are not ranked this year so they have a lot to prove.  I can't wait to see how they come together.  For me, I just want to see my son get on the mound.  I want to go see a ballgame too, couldn't go to any last year.  I am not going to Texas but if he makes the Florida travel squad I will be there!  He's working hard and throwing hard.  He's the kind of pitcher who will strike out as many as he walks (not ideal), gets soft contact, gives up few hits and it is always an adventure.  Likely middle relief which is perfect.  I am excited and anxious.
