Toughest district in the state

5-5A has in the last few years been a tough district in baseball, who knows this year as we lose Denton Ryan and gain Northwest who is not known for it's baseball tradition but seems to be on the upswing.

The new district with FM, Marcus, Coppell, Lewisville will be tough this year.

My .02 cents...Pre-season

6-5A - (Coppell, Flower Mound, Marcus, Newman)
10-5A- (Rowlett, Namaan, Rockwall, South Garland)
9-5A - (Allen, Lake Highlands, PESH..PD)

I don't know. ctiger's district might lay claim to that title.

What I consider a tough district is one where all the teams have a legitimate shot at winning the district. For the past 4 or 5 years district 24-5A is just that. Brazoswood, Clear Creek, Clear Lake, Clear Brook, Alvin, Pearland have all been legit contenders and many times it's come down to the last night of district games to decide between five teams prompting many play-offs within the district. These such play-offs have taken place 4 out of the past 5 years.

I believe this should be a tough district with most of these teams makeing the playoffs last year.
