Tournament information Request

Hello,

My 12 year old son was selected to play for a 13U team that will travel to 3 out of state tournaments through the end of this year. I was hoping someone out there might be able to share some thoughts about the tournaments.

Here are the tournaments:

ECTB Championship Series (Reading, PA) - August 6-8
Desert Fall Classic (Las Vegas, NV) - October 29-31
AAU Winter Nationals (Tampa Bay, FL) - December 27-30

Any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

My son played at Desert Fall Classic last year as U11. I thought it was run very well and the fields we played on were nice. Mike Martin and his associates were very personable and approachable. My son had a great time. We stayed at the Sahara on the strip. If we were to go down again we would try to stay in Henderson closer to the fields. My son did not care for some of the things he was exposed to on the strip, which I am proud of him for telling me. But for baseball it was a great time.

bkekcs was right on with the desert fall classic. I have done 18u / 16u tournaments there and friends do 14u and we all have been happy with the tournament. Mike is a good guy. The other two tournament I have no idea about them. You will be happy with the desert fall classic though.

Thanks for the information. I was thinking that would be a great tournament. He's a LL player so those three tournaments will be his first experience in traveling ball at a high level. He played as a 10 year old but it wasn't very enjoyable. It should be "interesting".
