I have been an instructor at several of their clinics and I will be doing the same this summer. In my opinion they are well worth it. There is a great deal of instruction done at these clinics as well as the workout portion. I feel any player attending will learn a ton from attending. The clinics are run and instructed all by college coaches who know their stuff. This is a great clinic to learn from actual college coaches and at the same time be seen and evaluated by them. Attending players walk away with a wealth of feedback and knowledge from these coaches. I always look forward to working with players at these clinics and at the same time finding players that I want to recruit for our own program.
4thGen attended a TPX event last fall and we were very pleased with it. They are really instruction camps, rather then showcases. While you run through the showcase type activities the morning of the first day, most of the rest of the time is taken up with teaching stations where you are graded as well. The kids each get a written and verbal evaluations from one of the college coaches and you can get a video analysis of each component of your game. The games at the end were mainly to analyze pitchers. The events don’t attract a lot of high profile coaches to watch, but you can take the evaluation and video and make it available to coaches after the event. Getting the feedback and evaluations is invaluable.
