But all that is well and good, but the bottom line is an OFFER... Don't read anything other than the process is continuing... My son had several requests for filling out applications and transcripts with nothing coming of it. (The higher the academic requirements are for a college, the more likely it seemed they had an interest in transcripts.) IE Stanford has to ACCEPT you as a student before baseball would even make an offer.

Transcripts are checking to see if you can qualify for the school, (maybe even academic $$) or perhaps the coach wants to decide whether to use up one of the Athletic departments "Waivers"

We actually had an UNOFFICIAL transcipt sent to my home... (IT has all the same info,... but I could make copies of it and my son send it to coaches.) That usually was sufficient for the recruiting issues....

Eventually though a real transcipt will be required via the application process.

There were 2 schools that made my son qualify for admission before they would make an offer. ILLINOIS was one of them, ND the other. Others made offers never asking for a transcript but knowing he was a good student but not good enough for academic awards.
This is what helped us narrow down some choices. These were schools that we felt were "academic" schools.
