2013 doesn’t know what he wants to study / where he wants to go.

Thinking about attending a 4 yr college and doing a PRE program (Pre chemistry / Pre engineering /Pre medical, etc) that has an ESTABLISHED curriculum that you attend 3/2 (3 years at school then transfer to another university to finish get degree).

Question – if he is playing baseball, would he have to sit a year due to the transfer?

Anyone else do this?

NCAA Division I Bylaw 14.5.5.2.2 Exchange Student Exception. The student is enrolled in the certifying institution for a specified period of time as a bona fide exchange student participating in a formal educational exchange
program that is an established requirement of the student-athlete’s curriculum. (Revised: 1/11/89, 1/10/92)

See 14.5.3.5. A student-athlete is not considered a transfer under the following enrollment conditions:
.....
Academic Exchange Program. The student participates in a regular academic exchange program between two four-year institutions that requires a participant to complete a specified period of time at each institution, and the program provides for the student-athlete to receive at least two baccalaureate or equivalent degrees at the conclusion of this joint academic program.

Seems like some programs would allow a 3/2 situation, and the player would not be considered a transfer, and therefore wouldn't need to sit out a year.
