Transferring high schools

My son is a Jr at a private high school and is thinking of transferring to public his senior year, mainly due to money. He has been hearing from lots of colleges but we're concerned transferring could cause problems. The schools are just 1/2 mile from each other and if he notifies all of the colleges he's been hearing from do you think all will be ok?

He will be fine----just make sure he lets them know where he is not to mention that by his senior hopefully you will have his college selection concluded

My son transfered from one school to another half way through his junior year and had no problems at all. He even used his prior HS coach for all his questionaires and reccomendations..
