Any ideas for getting sponsors. We are a very successful team with within a great orginization. Our team has won two national championships and ranked #1 in the nation. I was able to secure a car dealership sponsorship last year for $2000 but I am having a very hard time even getting $200-$500 this year.
Any help would be great.

bandito dad...we have been fortunate throughout our 15 years as a program in having a sole sponsor. he is a big wig with a shopping center food chain called safeway. he donates about $15,000 / year. several of my friends in our league have your same problem. one of them has 3 fund raisers each year which kick, but they have great parent support to get them done as well. first, bull roast. 300 tix at $25.00 each will net you about $3000 after costs. throw in an auction, then you get about $4-5,000. the second is a golf tournament. this requires a lot of planning and pounding local small businesses. you are about a year away from this one. however, my buddies tournament nets about $8,000 now. finally, a raffle. he sells 500 $25.00 tickets. gives away prizes of $5,000, $1,000, $500, and 2 free tix to next years drawing. this makes him $6,000.
When I coached my son at age 7 we had a golf tourneyand made approx. $7500. The problem was that I had to do most of the work on my own and everyone recieved benefit. The next year we joined the banditos and we were not as successful. I changed occupations and now I can not coach or help the way I would like.

My wife had an idea about a celeb. waiter dinner. What you do is find a nice place to have dinner. Ask local celebs to be a waiter for a table of 10 people. You then ask the celeb to sell tickets to his table. You also have a silent auction as well. We just cannot get enough support from our parents.

Another great way to raise money and get everyone involved is the tried and true..

Can Shaker..

Just stand outside the grocery store on Satuday morning, or a busy breafast joint, or dare I say Wal-Mart with a can.

Kids dressed im uniform... the younger the better!!!

We have turned in thousands in a morning if we cover a few good spots!
