Potential Championship Match Up? I attended the regular season match up today at Southern NH University. Londonderry had sophomore Kacy Carrola (I believe I spelt this wrong) matched up againsted Senior Ace Garrett Cole. Londonderry's starter was impressive holding Trinity's bats to a single run before leaving after 5 innings. We had him top out at 77 mph on the gun. Cole topped out at 86 mph in the 7th inning as he struck out the side. Londonderry had some defensive miscues in the 6th inning that cost them a 3 to 1 lead allowing 4 runs to cross the plate. Despite the loss, one fact that should be noted is that in the top of the 7th trailing two runs Londonderry had batters 7, 8 and 9 due up before turning over the line up to lead off Kyle Neverman who homered earlier in the game and in my opinion is one of the top players in New Hampshire. What would be easy to overlook is that Chris Verryt was not at the game today due to a loss in his family, his bat in my opinion could have made that last inning very interesting, with potentially putting a runner on with Neverman at the plate.... I think we will see this match up again in the post season.
