My son attended last fall and it was his first experience at this kind of showcase. A lot of bang for your buck, I thought. My son wants to stay in CA/West Coast, and he had a lot of exposure to CA coaches. The boys were assigned to "teams" and each team was run by a couple of college coaches, so there was alot of opportunity to the boys to talk to the coaches one on one. Lots of opportunities to ask good questions and make an impression on and off the field if your kid is willing to speak up. Nate was also very flexible and accommodating given that we were travelling from some distance.
My son attended one as well last summer. I wasn't able to attend, but he said it was pretty good as far as showcases are concerned. He never really enjoyed showcases with the long lines and limited chances.

I think Trosky is doing a good job with bringing the right kids in front of the right coaches. He is a genuine guy, and personally got to know my son, even though my son wasn't a top recruit. He was also at the Stanford Camp and Area Code games, so he has good connections (in fact, I think he is a Brewers scout as well).

Another pretty decent camp for CA schools is the Quakes Camp later this summer. Similar format, except quite a bit pricier.
blprkfrnks,

I met Nate at the USC Camp in December, and yes, he was very genuine and good with the kids. It's my understanding that he is a scout in the Brewers system.

My son received an email regarding the Quakes Camp/Showcase last month, it is pretty pricey. Unfortunately we are having to budget a little more this summer, so we're really having to pick & choose...not to mention that we're spending a few bucks for him to attend WWBA in East Cobb this summer! Thanks for the info.
