TR,

How would someone do their running, lifting, throwing, BP, ACADEMICS and go to the beach in the offseason? I never had an offseason in college. You have Fall practice, Spring season, and Summer League. Having to work hard in the classroom to maintain a gpa of 3.0 and playing ball took so much time that it was difficult to have a serious relationship with coeds.
NUFF SAID/SOXNOLE

see cbg's post--my guy went back to school midway between xmas and New Years just to get ready for what was ahead and that was after playing from August to November in fall practice , unofficial and official

You can beleve what you want but there is no time for beaches not to mention as cbg does, time for a serious relationship with coeds.

TRhit
TRHit, thats what makes the world go round. My son has already been invited to hunt with his coach. I can appreciate the hard work and nose to the grindstone attitude as well as the next guy. But having had 3 sons play D1 and 2 proffessionally I also know the value a girlfreind, day at the beach or weekend on a fishing boat. It is ridiculous to say that there is NO TIME for recharging batteries. There is a certain coach that used to be at Creighton who espoused your type of approach. He failed miserably and will take his current team in the same direction.Plese note that my kids didn't play for Creighton.
played troy state great program...i dont know if coach martinez is still there he was an assistant...you will like it nice facilities and great fans...if you go there you will run into the troy state mafia....lol you will know what im talking about....good choice in a college great town...dont go to the beaches...you will see that you wont have time for that....you will be so tied up with academics and practice that you will only have time to go to the porch...you will know what im talking about....good luck and i wish you the best
