Trying to find a movie...

I saw a couple of years ago. It's about a high school (in Illinois I think) that is going to be closed at the end of the year and the kids moved to the next "big town" over. The movie follows the baseball team in their last season. It has some great lessons and some neat baseball stories.

Anybody know what it is called?

There's a new movie coming out about how the entire state of Illinois is moving to the "next state" over. The movie, based on a true life situation, follows the beleaguered taxpayers in their last "can't take it anymore" season. It will have some great lessons.

It isn't named yet. Anybody know what they should call it?

Our woes here in Illinois stem squarely from the political class, not the educators. Education is a factor, but it was allowed (by a few) to become a factor.

I've never heard of Sugar, but I will find it and we can watch it soon. I just ordered The Final Season and it should arrive Friday.

My favorite is "Mr Baseball" with Tom Sellick.

The American pro scouts are my friends and and were the American players in the Movie.

During my 15 journeys to Japan, the movie theme was an example of the adjustments our players and coaches needed to make to succeed.

Made for tv movie. Early 80s I believe. Kid has a good luck bracelet. I remember watching it when I was younger. I recall it being pretty good.

Plot: Lancaster/Lebanon League 2012 Baseball playoffs

Catholic losing-
3-0 start the bottom of 1st
6-0 start the bottom of 2nd
11-0 start the bottom of 3rd
13-1 start the bottom of 5th (about to be 10 run ruled out of the play-offs!)

I'm surprised nobody mentioned "Rhubarb" (1951) starring Ray Milland.

Rich, eccentric T.J. Banner adopts a feral cat who becomes an affectionate pet. Then T.J. dies, leaving to Rhubarb most of his money and a pro baseball team, the Brooklyn Loons.

Sounds plausible enough. My wife actually owns a copy of this masterpiece.
