Good News is always nice to pass on.

If you ever wonder if going to one of the open tryouts listed on this site is worthwhile I can now say yes it is based on what just happened to an 06 player I know. That day tryout was a VERY successful afternoon for him.

This player learned about the tryout not from a personal call/email/or invite from the JUCO Coach but from the posting on this site! The player went to the tryout and the next day was offered a very, very good scholorship.

Good Things happened for this player because this forum is such a great resource and because members take the time to pass on this type of info (tryouts/camps/showcases/etc.). Isn't it great that members choose to share this information to the community so that others can benefit.

Why did I post this, because the next time you read about one of these tryouts you will know that good things can happen and they truly are looking for players to sign!

Yes, KD you should and when we play you guys guess I will pay up for my friend. Hey, didn't I try and buy you a margarita last time our schools met? drunkard

I can't/won't name the school yet/player/position until he signs, as this is just an offer and it is just good to know that these things are good to attend.

Sorry for the goof above blame it on the fingers, those that read it, let's just keep it at that.

I realize that I suffer from a mild case of regional bias, but WC is going to have a pretty stout team in 2007!

Although I have not seen the 2 Eastsiders or the kid from WF play, I am impressed with what I have read. I saw Azle's Gaskey in the playoffs last summer vs. Brewer; in addition to being a good pitcher, he can flat-out mash the ball. W'Ford's Lockett is a true 5 tool player and has blazing speed. He is as good a CF as there is in this part of the world and has the potential to be a great lead-off hitter. Deaver is an outstanding LHP and will make an immediate impact. He has good velocity and movement in his FB and has a nasty duce. He is also a really good kid off the field. When the Weatherford Little League 12 year-old team was preparing for the District and Sectional tournament last summer, Riley called the coach and volunteered to throw BP so that the kids could get comfortable seeing a left-handed breaking pitch. He would show up at the Little League field straight from working all day, throw some BP to the kids, then head straight to FW for a Cats game that night.

If the imported players are as good as the homegrown ones, the 2007 Coyote Baseball season will be one to remember!
