Extra Innings baseball is proud to announce that Tryouts will be held this weekend the 6th and 7th as well as the following weekend of June the 13th. The Tryout is for ages 10 to 12 and 13-15 years of age. Players are excpected to arrive dressed and ready to play no specific gear is needed, however catchers may bring their own gear.. The format for the tryout will include proper stretching and warmup techniques, pos players will get lose then infielders will throw from 3rd to 1st, 1st basemen will throw to 3rd and outfielders will throw from right to 3rd. Catchers will then throw down to 2nd and then we will have a live BP session to evaluate hitters. During and Following BP we will evaluate pitchers.There will be a five dollar registration fee.
We are looking to fill out the rosters of three teams withing those age ranges. Each team will have professional instruction and developement twice a week at Extra Innings indoor baseball facility for an hr working specifically on improvement in hitting and pitching/arm strentgh and mandatory strength and agility training following each development sessions for a total of two hours a day twice a week. We will be entering tournaments in the Dallas metro plex, houston area, San Antonio as well as central Texas with a min of 3 to 4 games per tourney. Players will be expected to participate in at least one community service event as a team over the summer.
