So how did they go for everyone who didn't play Monday? Seguin Cougars played Paschal and in a modified scrimmage came out on the short end 9-6 or something like that (kept losing count the colder I got) Paschal had some quality pitching and they have good team speed and solid defense, no balls were crushed by either team. Cougars pitching looked good, defense was a bit suspect in the first few innings (some dropped popups) Pretty sure the boys will be doing some running today for those walk Overall though I saw some good things from both teams.

Lewisville first two pitchers looked dominant against North Mesquite. Russo, their number one was throwing some gas, and Choate, their number two went 1-2-3 with three k's his first inning and only faced three batters his second inning.

If only they could hit the ball, they'd be dangerous. North Mesquite looked quite suspect.

Marcus must have 10 arms in thier bullpen. Didn't see OBN Jr pitch, but heard he threw very well. They had a kid pitch in the later innings that I was told wasn't a pitcher, just an arm, but was throwing GAS. The Lake Dallas kids were overpowered.

LD didn't look as strong as in years past, but it is early.
Thanks KD, he did have a good outing it was his first Varsity game/scrimmage and starting,,,,, it was enough to make me a nervous wreck nervous Our new pitching coach has really made a MAJOR difference w/my son and others, control this early in the season has been the biggest positive I have seen.

Yes, that last player is an OF that they were trying on the mound, good velocity but still just a thrower not a pitcher. And yes, you are right we have about 10 (4 of which are Lefy's) that are being considered right now..........

LD has some BIG boys on their team and if they can get hold of the ball watch out......Didn't get to see "theygrowupfast" son on the mound as he is pitching on Friday and I heard he will have another good year, did see him on 1B and he looked good.....

Our hitting wasn't where it needs to be but there is a tremendous amount of team chemistry for this early in the season.......Next challenge will be on Saturday vs Duncanville and T. Lee at Duncanville......
