is tuffcuff as good as advertised?
Let us know what you think of it when you get it. I've been thinking about buying it for a while but I haven't been able to find anybody who's used it to see what they think. Thanks
It isn't my intention to personally promote the products offered by sponsors here on the HS Baseball Web, though I do try to carefully choose quality sponsors.
But my son who is a college pitcher has a copy of TuffCuff, and thinks the material is very good. He has pitched since age 10, has taken pitching lessons and has read many books on pitching and pitcher conditioning, but he learned some new things from this book. It's not cheap, but when you compare it with the cost of even one pitching lesson, we thought it was a very good value. I guess I could put it this way: We would not be interested in selling his copy if it is still sold out.

I am a volunteer pitching coach in Springfield, MA and the seasons here require addressing specific routes with respect to conditioning, pre-season, prime, post season, and off season issues. For those youngsters that have SERIOUS plans for any kind of college/semi-pro/professional invitations, showcases, etc., I would strongly advise adding this publication to your inventory.
Much like a ASE Mechanic that INVESTS in his/her future, this publication can help you INVEST in your baseball future. In additon I might add, if you plan to attend a high level baseball showcase or inviation - some of these coaches have a short question and answer period just to see how much your game knowledge is. Health and other issues cover in this publication answer what you need to know. Why the questions about health and conditioning? Those players that understand this subject are considered LOW MAINTAINANCE prospects.

I offered my copy to my sons varsity coach and he started using it the next day and hasn't stopped using it since.
I'm an administrator on Steven's site, so take my recommendation with that grain of salt. It is in my opinion one of the best conditioning assistants I've seen. It not only lays out specific conditioning methods but provides tracking charts and routine diagrams that are easy to follow. Like the previous poster mentioned, e-mail him directly and he'll get back to you.
As far as worth..well like everything it is dependant on what you hope to get out of it. It is a tool, an effective tool, used to it's potential I think you'll get positive results.
