Everyone seems to be on Twitter these days. Can anyone recommend good people or businesses to follow?

Here are 3 that I'll recommend.

@collbaseball (www.collegebaseballinsider.com ....everything college baseball run by a local RVa good guy)
@Buster_ESPN (Buster Olney, ESPN baseball guru)
@TheExtraGear (local RVa sports psychologist, PH.D, great mental tips for athlete's or anyone)

FYI, most every team (college and pro) Tweets. Cool way to get behind the scenes info, scores, news, etc.

So, if you follow someone or something thats enjoyable to read 140 characters of, please share.

PIS, spouse and I set up a twitter account for a (now prior) coach. It was great for updating where we were supposed to be and at what time when we were traveling with the team...especially when there were rain delays. Very quick way to communicate to the entire team and parents. Highly recommend for coaches to set up an account for this reason. Quick and easy.
Redbird, you know I've been following ya'll!

Keewart - I think you are on to something. That seems to be a popular use.

For those that are reluctant, here is an example of the power and speed. The day of the earth quake that was centered here in Central Va, news spread on twitter with in seconds. The traditional news outlets were 10 to 20 minutes before getting info out. That experience was really eye opening. What if there was a bomb or abduction?

Also, many people, including myself use it almost instead of a "news paper". I follow things I need/want to know about. Sports, politics, business, current events, whatever.
