Two and BBQ

..if you've just had your a$$ smoked with good wood the BBQ ain't that bad.

Sittin' in my hotel room in OKC with baseball on my mind.

Thank you for you kind comments about Matt's Second Team Big 12 All Conference selection.

After watching other members of that all conference group from Texas and Nebraska BBQ the Red Raiders for the last two days, Matt's inclusion in that group is special and bittersweet at the same time.

To observe those players and match up those names with their talent is an incredible experience.

Amongst the lines in that list though are Roger Kieschnick, Miles Morgan, and Willie Rueda, all freshman, in the woodpile in Lubbock, smoldering for a BBQ in the future.

I said that to my sister-in-law as we sat down for the game against Texas last Wednesday.

Sitting there, it does seem like a long way to Mouzon......

But, it really ain't that far.....recalling a baseball bouncing on the top of that 225 foot left field fence and then on over, a young 12 year old boy starting his homerun trot, and a scorching by a coach about not running to second, sitting out the rest of the game, and now (one leg currently) still full speed to second on the HR's.

And, a game at Mouzon against Drew Bishop and Preston Clark........

And, a game at Bricktown against Drew Bishop and Preston Clark.

Naw, it ain't that far.
