Just started reading this book, very much enjoying so far. Very cool that you can say this.
Fastballs thrown overhand do not rise. It’s scientifically impossible. An extremely fast fastball decelerates at a slower rate that fools the eye compared to the typical fastball a hitter normally sees. An overhand pitch loses velocity as soon as it leaves the hand due to wind resistance. It’s impossible for a baseball losing velocity to rise.
Believe me, the fastball above the waist - rises!!!!
"I have visualize the pitch for 60+ years". It remains in the memory. Tom Haller and Willie and I discussed Koufax fastball [also rises}.

Very interesting book Bob.
Was passing by Adel Iowa on the interstate a few years ago and stopped at Bob fellers museum. To our complete delight Bob (Feller that is) was there that day. Coolest thing ever!
I did not know the Indians (or whatever they are now) had Feller and Satchel Paige at the same time!
And Bill Veeck was the owner. Read his book "Veeck is a wreck". My baseball activities have been directed by Mr. Veeck thru his books.
