In January of '06 when you signed on you say in your bio that your son is getting "recruited by the biggest and best universities in the land". Now it's October '06 and you're asking about UN. Shouldn't he already be enrolled in one of these biggest and best universities? How does that work? Was he being recruited illegally as a sophomore back in January? Or are you asking on behalf of another player? Or were you just embellishing a little bit (as we are all wont to do occasionally) back in January? Just a little confused about the timeline.
WOW! Is this the Inquisition? Yes, he is still being recruited by some of the nicer universities. Is it me or did the early signing period pass? Are there any players still making trips? Pop, how did you figure he was a sophomore? As far as I can tell we are right on with the timeline and aren't worried about your confusion. If you don't have anything to add to what I was asking please butt out. Some schools up your way were very interested, but seeing as New England isn't very much of a hot bed for baseball he quickly declined. My son will be making his decision after Jupiter. Simply looking under all the stones for info before making a decision. I'm sure two shoe boxes full of letters from all the major universities in the land means nothing. Hopefully come June it will all mean nothing, but thanks for your concern.
Same coach, but a couple years ago so maybe things have changed. I'm sure he's not alone in his thinking. Might even be SOP for major DI's.

Great program overall going deep into the playoffs quite often.

This is my observation regarding some kids I know he had and not a knock on the coach, just seems the way he does things. Agree that he tends to over recruit. Definitely a "what have you done for me lately coach." Know of a few who had a great freshman year, average soph year and were pretty much told that their playing days were over. One player transferred to another DI and had a great career, got drafted and is now in the minors.

I am a Husker baseball fan, and I know the coaches and several players personally. Great coaching staff, great kids, they just finished a new 50 million dollar renovation on their training center.

Truly, the environment is like no other, the husker football team has sold out every game for 30 years, the volleyball team draws 10,000-12,000 per game, and the baseball team sells out most home games with as many as 8,000 in attendance. The Husker athletes are truly adored by the people of NE.
