Looking for any info on Southern Maine, the coaching staff, conference they are in, and there level of play. Thanks. Head Coach just called my son wants him to come for visit.

Others will hopefully come on here and tell you more on the conference and the school, in general. But I can tell you that the HC Ed Flaherty is a class guy and has been doing it that way for a long time. You can check out his bio which I'm sure tells you the things you need to know, but he's the kind of coach I would be happy having my son play for.
Now....going from No Carolina to Portland, ME.....that's another issue in terms of baseball weather.

You can't go wrong at USM. They've had a winning tradition for around 20 years with the same head coach. Go to their webpage to see their resume. They play in the Little East Conference www.littleeast.com
I played for one of their assistants, Coach Boyce, a long time ago. He's a class act and a guy that loves instructing the game of baseball. Having lived in NC and grown up in Maine I can tell you that the weather is going to shock you. It's not uncommon to play in snow squalls. Instead of putting down quick dry you'll be breaking up the frozen puddles and throwing the ice over the fence.

4thGen's team played against them as the last game of the year last year and after 7 innings of cold and wet they called the game a tie.
Flaherty is a great coach with a great record. His teams have won two D3 national titles. He gets his best drafted.
Son's team opened with them last year and split a doubleheader. Very good team with good discipline. I know they spend at least 1 week in Arizona at the beginning of he season. Maybe two. Good luck.

Exactly. Also the Little East is one of the best conferences in D3 New England with fellow power Eastern CT and Keene State on the rise.
