My son's former HS teammate is now a senior on the team and he cannot wait for the season to start. Says the new coaches are a breath of fresh air. New philosophy about pitching-throw strikes-, hitting-swing the bat.

Of course, any new coaching staff is going to try to interject a positive attitude when they take over so the proof will be after 20-30-games.

They have a great facility and it can only get better.
About Kevin Rooney, my son strongly considered going to Notre Dame when he became the pitching coach. That says alot, considering son had options to play in the warmer weather.

It's only fair to give a coach a year or two to bring in his own recruiting class to measure the success of a program, but I have a feeling things are going to be changing for the better by this spring.

BTW, many of my sons former HS friends (male and female) attended UCF and loved it.
