Cleanup - Coach Cohen and staff recruit a lot here in Lexington and they attend virtually all local showcases. They also have their own camps, but unless you're someone they're familiar with it might be hard to stand out at their camp. It's usually a lot of kids.
If you're interested in UK, I would start communicating with the staff. They scout most of the local games and the state tourney, etc.
I don't know if it's easier to get into UK being in-state, but obviously it affords you in-state tuition. UK typically offers local kids a roster spot or book money (not all, but the majority). So if finances are an important part of a fit for you, make sure you explore all options when talking with them.
