Had a little umpiring lesson today.

1. I will not complain about umpiring until I have learned all the rules.

I once had to put it this way to an asst. who got tore up over every bad call. Baseball Food Chain 101:
Major league umpires
Japanese & Mexican League

Rookie Ball
Independent Leagues
NCAA Div 1
NCAA Div II
NAIA
NCAA Div III
NCAJC Div I
NCAJC Div II
NCAJC Div III
High School Umpires
JV & Frosh Umpires
Way down the list to expect any more than what you get.

That being stated - - - -I still think that they are pretty good if you're getting a top ten crew out of the Dallas Chapter. Collin County and Outer Metro-plex area chapters are crews that I haven't seen much, so all the complaints might be meritted or might not be merritted....How's that for a political spin?
