Umps not letting kids warm up is a league problem

If your local umps are being idiots and not letting kids property warm up you have a league problem. The league pays the umps they should control the umps. Several years ago we had a ump who was refusing to do what the league wanted such as strike zone, respect toward kids and parents. Our league president finally had enough he was removed during a game. After that he was a totally changed and easy going guy after that. You can't have a hot head ump control freak running your league. At our home town league we run the umps not the other way around.

When I was an assistant middle-school coach we had an ump who demanded play start right away.. our kids had just got off the bus after fighting traffic. I told the ump no, they are going to warm up, whether you like it or not.
