UNC Wilmington? Family? Fishing?

Heading to a Pitcher / Catcher camp in Jan. Anything to do for the wife and younger son this time of year? Is it worth a family weekend or just a baseball trip?

I've heard the stiper fishing is great this time of year. Any NC fishermen here?

We've been to Wilmington in Jan. It's definitely a beach town and not much to do when it's cold. There is a really cool battleship that you can tour and a children's museum. My kids liked the ocean even when it was too cold to swim - they flew kites and looked for shells instead. There is also a Serpentarium (sp?). It won't be a "beach" weekend but it can still be a nice getaway.
