I have been impressed with this program. I met one of the coaches while watching a practice at Vanderbilt (I was in Nashville, staying at a hotel across the street, and had some time to kill. He was there watching for some reason.)

We struck up a conversation, I told him my son would send him his info sheet. He stayed in touch with my son all year with handwritten notes. I was impressed because we are on opposite ends of the country. He was just keeping the ball in the air, I am sure. But it showed a heck of a lot of attention to detail.

As I learned about the program, I found that the new staff is bringing UAB back on the rise. I don't doubt that they will do well.

Let's hope,,,,because they haven't been know as a strong program,,,,ever. Ok, well not ever,,,but.
Glad to hear coach puts hand written notes together. Must be old school.
Coach Kovash was my son's coach at Presbyterian College. He's an absolutely wonderful man, but I selfishly wish he'd stayed at Presbyterian. He left for a D-1 opportunity, after years of successat the D-2 level...and two years later, PC goes D-1.

One of the truly nicest folks I've met in college baseball, and a fine coach.
