Going back to the 2010 Super Regionals gave this program another boost after missing the playoffs last year. What I know of the coaching staff is that they are very solid and stable with Coach Lopez,Wasikowski,Cole and Scyphers at the helm. They were hurt by signees that went into the draft last year but managed to salvage a season from a very young team. With that said, I think the future is bright for the program. They recruit from all over and starting to attract and recruit more top level local talent. Of course, currently ASU is considered a more successful program in the state but I think when U of A program is underrated especially for a program which has won 3 College World Series Titles. I believe that they are on the road back to prominence.

Looking forward to more competitive PAC 10 with the addition of University of Utah in the fold. Colorado has no baseball program at this time.

Please note that I have not experienced the full college recruiting business as I only have a 2012. I would love to hear from recent Wildcat parents regarding the program.

I would have to say yes, they over recruit , just like pretty much all higher profile D1 schools must do to stay competitive with today's NCAA rules. If you attend their camp, you may get an extra look, but remember, there are no guarantees, even scholarship players must earn their spot on a team against VERY GOOD invited walkons every fall. Lots of them.....Don't count any school out or cut off communication until you have a signed letter in your hands and are comfortable that
